It's a Lasting Love #1

I wanted to do a series on this blog but wasn't sure what to do it on and then struggled with a name for way too long. In the end I settled with 'It's a Lasting Love' that will focus on me sharing things that have kept my love for a long amount of time. I feel that this will be a good way too get more product reviews onto my blog along with sharing other things like my love for tv, books and other interests of mine. The first instalment of this series will revolve around One Directions first perfume 'Our Moment'. From the first time I smelt it I was obsessed. I wanted something that would last a long time and was reasonably priced. For my birthday I received this set that not only included the perfume but also the body lotion and shower gel; sets like this allow you to get the most from the scent while keeping your skin feeling smooth. Even if you aren't a fan of One Direction I recommend you try it at least one. I'm sure you will love it, I have for a while now.

Clinique's 3-Step Skincare System

2014 was a terrible year for my skin, especially towards the end. I have always had oily skin although as I've got older it's moving more toward combination. Every now and then it would improve greatly although once winter arrived there seemed to be nothing I could do to improve it. For my birthday I received a 14 day tea detox that help you feel better but also improve your skin; I was so excited to finally get my skin back to being controllable. I ended up being allergic to the tea and my skin went from bad to worse, not only did I feel like death my skin also looked it. For christmas I received Clinique's 3-Step Skincare System for combination / oily skin and this stuff wow my skin has never felt so good! I never thought I would see the day where my skin felt smooth, looked better and even reduced the size of my pours, praise the lord. I know Clinique is quite pricey but I think I have finally realised that when it comes to your skin its got to be done. Expect a few more Clinique related blogposts soon I seem to be on a skin care hype, wish me luck.

2014 has been a strange year for me. It's been mixed with the joy of returning to Greece and meeting Paul Wesley again with the horror that was my A levels. Although, this year has been 100% better than 2013 and I already have plans to make 2015 a good year. I seem to be terrible at making lists although wanted to share 35 memorable things I did this year; I felt listing the memories that revolve around me and my friends being weird probably wouldn't fit very well here. Merry Christmas Eve, Ya Filthy Animals

I don't think I can actually believe it's christmas tomorrow. It seems like only yesterday I was celebrating my birthday or sitting on that Greek beach enjoying the summer. I have spent the day with my family and the evening will be me watching Love Actually; my excitement to watch this movie is getting out of hand. I've still got to wrap the majority of my presents that I left way too late to purchase. Each year I say I will start Christmas shopping earlier and each year I leave it later and later. Well, there's always next year. I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!

Christmas Songs

I feel the best way to get excited for christmas is to listen to christmas songs. However, 19 years on this earth christmas songs seem to be turning into more of an effort than when I was younger but I think I have found the answer to my problems. To begin with I would listen to people covering the classics and then realised, each year you need to find that certain one to obsess over. 2011 for me was Step into Christmas by Elton John; 2012 was any version of The Power of Love, last year I settled with A Spaceman Came Travelling but this year All Alone on Christmas by Darlene Love is my obsession. Maybe its a combination of my new found connection to the Home Alone movies or the fact I believe when it comes to christmas songs no woman does it better than Darlene Love. Of course I still love the classics like Band Aid and Mariah and will listen to them hundreds of times before the 25th arrives but just incase you're feeling fed up with festive songs I hope this helps.

Christmas Movie Marathon

Now my Christmas holiday has officially begun I feel it's the right time to start watching all of my favourite christmas films. Although Home Alone has already been watched twice there are still plenty of movies left for me to watch. I feel like no film can get me into the christmas spirit like The Polar Express; there is something about this movie that will always have my love. For some reason watching Narnia has become a tradition with my family although films like Christmas with the Kranks and The Holiday aren't loved by them leaving me to watch them alone, this is probably why I don't get round to watching them each year. For my final two movies one of them is a low budget film found on Christmas 24 called Love at the Parade while the other is my ultimate favourite, Love Actually. Love at the Parade makes me want to experience an American christmas while Love Actually is the combination of a wonderful cast, amazing storyline and my favourite kind of movie layout. This year I am certain I will watch all of them even though my area in England doesn't seem to be filled with festive cheer just yet, wish me luck.

Countdown to Christmas

On Saturday I unexpectedly ended up in Lincoln to see their Christmas market. With One Direction tickets finally purchased and a Christmas jumper as the key feature of my outfit I was ready to be festive. Maybe because I'm from Birmingham I was disappointed; in comparison to our German Market it lacked christmas and was a third of the size. All that aside I thought Lincoln was a lovely place that I would want to return to it in the summer so it wasn't as cold and would be a whole lot quieter. Lincoln Cathedral is one of the prettiest buildings I have ever seen, I would recommend anyone going to look inside at it's  beautiful windows. I still need to become a lot more festive and watch a great amount of christmas movies starting with Home Alone and finishing with Love Actually on Christmas Eve, wish me luck.
