A Random Haul...

I have a bit of a shopping problem although I've never done a haul on my blog; this is about to change. The first of many will be a bit of a random one! Showing my obsession with homeware and the exercise hype I'm on at the moment. Lets begin with trusty Primark. As I've got older I seem to only buy clothes from there if they are to do with Disney; I never thought their clothes were the best quality, I guess you can't expect a lot with how little they cost, their homeware on the other hand is both affordable and able to challenge other stores on the quality. I felt my bedroom needed to be injected with some colour and when I saw palm tree patterned cushions for £3 and turtle bedding I knew purchases would be made. The stuff they have in right now is the nicest stuff they have had in my opinion, you need to go and have a look! I'm still not sure how I feel about my £5 purchase from Tiger, this Ab Wheel is not for me at the moment. I am just a weakling right now but its one of those things that you can almost feel working. For the price I can't complain, hopefully I will actually develop some abs, wish me luck!

My four most played songs #1

I get obsessed with songs so quickly and I get bored of them just as fast. Each month I seem to have a new favourite ever song but this month saw me have four. My beloved Ed Sheeran's Bloodstream has been on repeat and his performance of it on the Brits last night means it won't be stopping just yet. Taylor Swift and I have a strange love that consists of me always stating I don't like her yet always loving her songs and Style is no different. Her songs at the moment are reminding me of when I first heard Taylor Swift and convinced myself I was her biggest fan to ever live. Charli XCX and Rita Ora won my heart with Doing It although it then just disappeared from my life and then came back with a vengeance. I think watching the music video made me realise how much I love this song and basically everything about this duo. Finally Hold Back the River by James Bay made it onto the list. I heard it so often and didn't take much notice until the other day and then I realised how amazing it is. If your having one of those weeks where no music is interesting you I recommend you listen to one of the songs, I'm sure you will love one of them! I think I might make this a bit of a regular thing on my blog, wish me luck.

We need to talk about Cover Songs...

Anyone who knows me knows about the strange clashes of music I love. It doesn't matter who's singing it or what era it's from, if it's good then it will probably go on repeat until I can't listen to it any more. One thing I love about music is covers. A song covered well is like gold to me; recently I have found the band Sleeping at Last and their covers of The Safety Dance and I'm Gonna Be (500 miles) are amazing; when I found out they had whole albums dedicated to covers I thought I was in heaven. I'm not really a fan of Bastille but when I heard No Angels for the first time it remained on repeat for a month along with Ed Sheeran's cover of Drunk in Love, nothing will be more perfect for me. There are plenty covers out there that I'm obsessed with but Sleeping at Last are the ones on repeat at the moment and I really recommend you listen to them; if you know any other good covers please comment them below!

It's a Lasting Love #1

I wanted to do a series on this blog but wasn't sure what to do it on and then struggled with a name for way too long. In the end I settled with 'It's a Lasting Love' that will focus on me sharing things that have kept my love for a long amount of time. I feel that this will be a good way too get more product reviews onto my blog along with sharing other things like my love for tv, books and other interests of mine. The first instalment of this series will revolve around One Directions first perfume 'Our Moment'. From the first time I smelt it I was obsessed. I wanted something that would last a long time and was reasonably priced. For my birthday I received this set that not only included the perfume but also the body lotion and shower gel; sets like this allow you to get the most from the scent while keeping your skin feeling smooth. Even if you aren't a fan of One Direction I recommend you try it at least one. I'm sure you will love it, I have for a while now.

Clinique's 3-Step Skincare System

2014 was a terrible year for my skin, especially towards the end. I have always had oily skin although as I've got older it's moving more toward combination. Every now and then it would improve greatly although once winter arrived there seemed to be nothing I could do to improve it. For my birthday I received a 14 day tea detox that help you feel better but also improve your skin; I was so excited to finally get my skin back to being controllable. I ended up being allergic to the tea and my skin went from bad to worse, not only did I feel like death my skin also looked it. For christmas I received Clinique's 3-Step Skincare System for combination / oily skin and this stuff wow my skin has never felt so good! I never thought I would see the day where my skin felt smooth, looked better and even reduced the size of my pours, praise the lord. I know Clinique is quite pricey but I think I have finally realised that when it comes to your skin its got to be done. Expect a few more Clinique related blogposts soon I seem to be on a skin care hype, wish me luck.
