It's a Big World Out There

With two weeks in Greece booked for the summer I couldn't be much happier right now. This summer is going to be an extremely long one and I hope to fit a lot into it. I'm hoping that I can travel a bit more this year, even if it's just exploring more that the UK has to offer. I'm also going to start sharing more of my photography from my travels, when you take over 1000 photos in Rome you have a lot to share. There is a chance to win two weeks in Italy on my course; if I won it that would mean two weeks in Greece right after two weeks in Italy, that sounds like perfection to me. Wish me luck.

It's only hair...

I have a tag Q&A that I need to write a post about although I decided that to get back into the blogging routine I would talk about the struggle that is my hair. I've had about four perms in my life and right now my hair seems to be looking more damaged than ever. Going back to my natural hair colour has left the ends a strange green shade, slightly regretting having purple hair right now. I've also decided that I'm going to let it grow; with the help of hair masks and remembering to use conditioner, I really don't give much care to my hair, I'm hoping it won't take that long! I feel like a lot of things are changing in my life recently with University interviews, trying to lose weight and coming into the last stages of my art foundation but now I have new glasses its time to start those dreaded driving lessons. Maybe all this can distract me from wanting to dye my hair every minute or feeling the urge to cut it all off, wish me luck.

February Fitness

I've done a blog post before all about my weight loss motivation although this one is a lot different. When I wrote that last blog post I had just finished a successful workout that lasted seven months and summer was coming to an end. This time last year I had only just started working out everyday at home but this year I am even more motivated and with the start of February means serious fitness needs to be done. All my chocolate is finally gone from christmas and I now have a more intense workout routine compared to what I was used to. For the first time in my life I am finally going to the gym; I have moved past feeling like everyone is judging me and have learnt to just get on with it with no cares. My diet isn't terrible but I will be making some changes to improve it and with going to the gym three times a week I'm hoping improvements will begin appearing soon. I need to start using my excercise bike more and with that in the mix I refuse to let summer arrive and still be looking the same, wish me luck.

We need to talk about Cover Songs...

Anyone who knows me knows about the strange clashes of music I love. It doesn't matter who's singing it or what era it's from, if it's good then it will probably go on repeat until I can't listen to it any more. One thing I love about music is covers. A song covered well is like gold to me; recently I have found the band Sleeping at Last and their covers of The Safety Dance and I'm Gonna Be (500 miles) are amazing; when I found out they had whole albums dedicated to covers I thought I was in heaven. I'm not really a fan of Bastille but when I heard No Angels for the first time it remained on repeat for a month along with Ed Sheeran's cover of Drunk in Love, nothing will be more perfect for me. There are plenty covers out there that I'm obsessed with but Sleeping at Last are the ones on repeat at the moment and I really recommend you listen to them; if you know any other good covers please comment them below!

There's really nothing like Netflix...

To say I'm obsessed with Netflix is an understatement. When I first saw the amount Netflix had to offer me it was like Jesus had risen right in front of me; when I had finally chosen something to watch it didn't take me long to finish all episodes of it. Although many of my favourite shows had come before having a Nerflix account; programmes like Game of Thrones won't be found here and my beloved Vampire Diaires was found far before Netflix was but my TV consumption is at an extreme high and I thought I would share with you some of the best things Netflix has to offer. You might be expecting some and others are going to be an extreme throwback. Maybe I will just start with five to begin with:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer a throwback, yes, but a very good one. I feel like 2014 was the year of the Buffy for me. I literally could talk about this show for a whole blogpost. It has all the best elements of a TV programme rolled into one; apart from the special effects, move past them and Buffy is all you will need.

Sons of Anarchy consumed my life that badly that I ended up breaking my chair because I watched it for so long. Falling in love with Charlie Hunnam probably helped my obsession to grow although in the first season I found myself getting confused with who everyone was and which gang got along with which. The seasons are short and the story is addictive but prepare yourself because on UK Netflix the last season hasn't arrived yet.

Pretty Little Liars is my recently watched at the moment. I used to watch it when it first started but for some reason it just disappeared from my life. I have now seen season one twice and season two is just as good. Shay Mitchell has become my gym inspiration and I'm excited to continue watching to find out the answers to the million questions this show creates.

Orange Is the New Black is amazing, you probably already know this. Waiting for the next season is going to be the longest wait of my life. I never knew I could become so attached to women in prison but thankfully Netflix uploads the whole series in one; I then just have to ration the episodes so I don't watch them all too quickly.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a recent love but a strong one. There is only two things I hate about it; the episodes are twenty minutes long and only season one is available. Everything else is hilarious and I would recommend it to anyone.

It's a Lasting Love #2

I seem to want to do series on my blog that end up turning into a one of time thing. Although my previous post started my 'It's a Lasting Love' series and I feel like I'm on to a winner. I wanted to focus this post on my love for benefit sets. I feel that the samples they provide are not only showing a range of some of their best products but also allow you to form a full opinion on them; you get enough to know if you want to purchase the item full size and if you don't there are plenty more samples to try. I love everything about them from the packaging to the perfectly selected products that work well together. These sets make a wonderful gift that will make anyone happy, I full recommend trying at least one, especially if you haven't ventured into what Benefit have to offer before. I am going to be back to posting normally now, my life has been mad lately but now it needs to get back on track, wish me luck.

It's a Lasting Love #1

I wanted to do a series on this blog but wasn't sure what to do it on and then struggled with a name for way too long. In the end I settled with 'It's a Lasting Love' that will focus on me sharing things that have kept my love for a long amount of time. I feel that this will be a good way too get more product reviews onto my blog along with sharing other things like my love for tv, books and other interests of mine. The first instalment of this series will revolve around One Directions first perfume 'Our Moment'. From the first time I smelt it I was obsessed. I wanted something that would last a long time and was reasonably priced. For my birthday I received this set that not only included the perfume but also the body lotion and shower gel; sets like this allow you to get the most from the scent while keeping your skin feeling smooth. Even if you aren't a fan of One Direction I recommend you try it at least one. I'm sure you will love it, I have for a while now.
